It has to do beside the neurotransmitter serotonin. When you consume carbohydrates your body releases this chemical into the body causing you to perceive sleepy.
that's an effect of caffine. it gets your vivacity up, and then you crash.
It's your body recounting you that it can not burn the sweets! Try eating a improved diet ;-)
