What is the best insurance plan, HMO or PPO?

What is the best insurance plan, HMO or PPO?
That depends upon your situation and what you want.
The HMO usually has a more expensive premium but have lower costs for many procedures.
With the HMO you stipulation to see your primary doctor first (and pay the co-pay) to win a referral to see a specialist. With the PPO a referral is not needed.
With an HMO you must see a doctor surrounded by the network. With the PPO you can be in motion outside the network but your co-pays will be superior.
Most HMO's cover maternity, which is another plea they're higher. PPO's do not, however, some hold a maternity resort available.
HMO's are being phased out of the individual marketplace and are becoming scarce with the group marketplace. Very few companies are offering HMO's anymore.

HMO is cheaper, but PPO gets you better guardianship.
I prefer a PPO. There's seems to be seriously more choices.
