What happen to poop after it get flushed?

down the drain > into septic system to be put into ground underneath your property to build the soil more fertile, or to water treatment plant to be cleaned out of hose supply then burried within the ground, or burned for energy consequently water is purified and sent hindmost to homes around your area as toilet hose, shower water, etc.
In town/city beside a sanitary sewer (houses hooked up to city sewer) with manholes and underground lines, it go through a lift station and is carried out to a sewer plant. From near the operator of the plant see that it's taken care of properly.
