What does a puncture lung surface close to?

I have hear that if say, you break a rib it is possible that it can puncture your lung, i guess this would deflate it and you not know how to breather, so therefore you would slowly die if hospital minister to was not recieved briskly.
Has anyone ever punctured their lung (but obviouslt not dies lol) or know what it would feel similar to, and how long it would be before you died?
Any answers would give support to!
BTW: this hasn't happend to me.What does a puncture lung surface close to?
Since you have two lungs if you solitary punctured one of them and there be no bleeding it wouldn't kill you, but you would hold severe shortness of breath, extreme pain, and you probably would be going to the ER.
My brothers lung be punctured due to being hit by a coup¨|. We have two lungs so you won't die, unless the puncture is bleeding. Anyhow his collapsed, and he couldn't breathe to honourable, luckily he was within a hospital, so they put him on oxygen. And they put some kind of tube contained by his lung to drain the blood he had contained by there, very soon his doing well. He lung is put money on to normal.
it wouldn't deflate, it's not a balloon. your inside is not jam-packed with nouns. it would most likely obtain filled next to fluid. it is extremely painful.
