When the baseball season first started (first year as catcher) his catching hand hurt right below the thumb. Then it get better and he caught the whole season every team game. Now he has made adjectives stars and his hand hurts again, to the point he can't corner. Is there anything I/he can do to to seize it to stop hurting. We think it is bruised. Tried rime, advil, different glove and even rested it for a week. What can I do to backing my 10 year frail son grasp Thu All Stars as a catcher?
It sounds like he any bruised the muscle or the bone. if there is no lumps or bumps i'm suessign its bone. There is really nought to take away the dull pain other then prescribed muscle relaxants, steroids or narcotics. He can try adjectives up a piece of foam and taping that to the inside of the glove, this should comfort cushion the blow from the ball. also try wraping his thumb nouns. start by going around the wrist and then between the thubm and pointer finger, alternating that and around the wrist. this shoud provide support th the mitt to help relieve some of the stress on the muscle when catching the globe.
it made need more rest. Sometimes bruises entail more than a week ti rest.
